It's Hard to Follow Jesus

HARD THINGS: Following Jesus When Obedience Isn't Easy.

Because in life, we are going to face hard things.

And sometimes, the hard thing is *not* our circumstances. The hard thing is choosing to obey God.

Contrary to popular belief, following Jesus was never promised to be easy. Jesus never once said obedience would be convenient.

He said, “deny yourself.”

He said, “take up your cross and follow me.”

He said, “love your enemies.”

Obedience can be hard.

But hard does not mean impossible. God never commands something without equipping us to do it.

Paul says it best in Philippians 4:13 – "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

As a Christian, we can do all things.

“All things” includes, “hard things."

We can do hard things through Christ which strengthens us.
