Wednesday - From Takers to Givers

Acts 20:35 – “I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

Our God is a generous God. He gave us life. He gave us salvation. And every single day, He provides for our needs. That is His nature. And as His children, we are called to reflect that same generous heart.

So let me ask you, how is your attitude toward giving? Do you give grudgingly, like it is something you have to do? Or do you give joyfully, seeing it as a privilege? Are you more focused on what you can get, or on what you can give? The truth is, we don’t just work to meet our own needs. God calls us to work so we have something to share with others.

Today, look for a way to give unexpectedly. It doesn’t have to be about money. It could be your time, a listening ear, a kind word, or a helping hand. When you practice generosity, you are reflecting the heart of God Himself. And the more you give, the more you will discover the joy that Jesus promised when He said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
