Wednesday - Jesus is our Peace

Ephesians 2:14–18 - "For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity… so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross… For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father."
Paul makes a powerful declaration in this passage: "He is our peace."
Peace isn’t a feeling we chase or a place we arrive at. It’s a Person we know.
In a world filled with stress, conflict, and noise, this truth is incredibly grounding. Peace is not found in a change of circumstances or in everything finally going our way. It’s found in Jesus.
Jesus has not only made peace between us and God. He has also made peace possible between people. He tore down the wall that once divided Jew and Gentile. He removed the hostility that once separated us. And now, because of His cross, we all have access to the Father by the same Spirit.
That kind of peace changes everything. It quiets our anxious hearts. It softens our hard relationships. It reminds us that we are no longer strangers or enemies, but family in Christ.

- Not that Jesus simply gives peace, or brings peace, but that He is peace.
