Monday - The Foundation of Our Faith

Ephesians 2:19-22 – “Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; 21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.”

Every building needs a solid foundation. Without it, the structure won’t last. In the same way, our faith must be grounded in something firm. Paul tells us that as believers, we are built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Jesus Christ as the chief cornerstone.

Jesus is not just a part of your life. He is the one who holds everything together. He is the anchor that keeps your faith steady when life gets hard.

Take a moment today to reflect on what your faith is really built upon. Are you standing on the truth of Scripture, or are you leaning on personal feelings, opinions, or the changing values of the world?

If your foundation needs strengthening, spend time in God’s Word. Focus on who Jesus is and what He has done for you. Ask Him to help you center your life on Him.

And remember this: when Christ is the cornerstone, you are not building alone. You are part of God’s family. You are part of something greater. You are part of His holy temple.
