Wednesday - Seeing People Like Jesus

Matthew 9:36 - " But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd."
Jesus did not just see a crowd, but He saw the lost, broken, and hopeless condition of man. He had compassion on them. The Greek word “compassion” literally means to feel something in your gut. It is a deep pain and empathy for another. This is not pity or disappointment, but a love beyond measure. Jesus did not just see people—he saw spiritually lost men as sheep having no shepherd.
Have you ever tried to “walk a mile in someone else’s shoes?” It is easy for us to be quick to judge or blame, but Jesus saw people with compassion. If we believe that “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” that means people need a Savior!
Do you see people like inconveniences, or do you have compassion? Today, ask the Lord to help you encourage people so that you can best be a witness for Him. Try to see people like Jesus!
