Friday - The Ripple of One Right Decision
Ruth 4:17 “And the women her neighbours gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Obed: he is the father of Jesse, the father of David.”
Have you ever tried skipping rocks across a lake? The moment that rock begins to skip the ripples start to form. Ripples affect the water after it is first disturbed. You have probably heard of the “Ripples Effect.” Well we see in Ruth that God uses this for His purpose.
Ruth could never have imagined that her obedience would place her in the lineage of King David and ultimately of Jesus Christ! One right decision set off a chain of eternal impact. God still uses the faithfulness of ordinary believers to accomplish extraordinary plans. The results of obedience reach further than we’ll ever see this side of heaven.
Every choice you make today can become part of God’s story. Obey God where you are, and trust Him to use it where you can’t yet see. The future is shaped one decision at a time and your “hap” may change eternity.
