Wednesday - When The Door Opens Step Through

Nehemiah 2:4 – “Then the king said unto me, For what dost thou make request? So I prayed to the God of heaven.”

This is the moment.

The king asks, “What do you want?”

That question could cost Nehemiah everything.

He says he was “very sore afraid.” Of course he was. This was dangerous.

But notice what he does.

He prays.

Not a long prayer. Not a dramatic prayer. Just a reflex prayer. Because he had already been talking to God for four months.

And then he speaks.

Providence brought him to the moment. But Nehemiah still had to open his mouth.

God opened the door.
Nehemiah had to walk through it.

There are moments in life when everything lines up. The opportunity is there. The conversation opens. The step becomes clear.

In that moment, you don’t need a sign. You need courage.

You can’t control the outcome. But you can control your obedience.

Ask yourself:
Is there a step I know I need to take, but I’ve been hesitating?
