Monday - From Darkness to Light

Ephesians 5:6–8 – “Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light.”

II Corinthians 5:17 – “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

The transformation from darkness to light is not something that happens slowly over time. It is instant and complete. The very moment Christ enters your life, everything changes. You are not who you used to be. Scripture says you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.

This is not just a small change in behavior. It is a total change in identity. The old you, with all your failures, shame, and sin, is gone. The new you has been made alive in Christ. You are not trying to become light. You are light.

So the real question today is not how do I earn that or when will I finally get there. It is this: am I living like who I already am in Christ?

Let that truth shape your decisions. Let it influence your words, your relationships, and your reactions. You have been brought out of the darkness, not to hide your light, but to let it shine.
