Friday - Embracing Our Shared Identity in Christ.

Galatians 3:26-29 – “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
Ephesians 4:4-6 – “4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”
One of the most beautiful truths of the gospel is that in Christ, we are one family. No matter our background, culture, or status, we share a common identity as children of God. That means when you look around at your brothers and sisters in Christ, you are looking at family.
Spiritual unity is not just about agreeing on everything. It is about living in such a way that reflects Jesus to the world. It means acting and reacting in a Christlike manner even when we face differences. True unity flows out of spiritual maturity.
Paul reminds us that our faith connects us in a way the world cannot explain. We are united by one Spirit, one hope, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father. That is the foundation of our oneness in Christ.
So here is the challenge for today. How does this shared identity shape the way you see other believers, especially those who are different from you? Instead of letting differences divide us, what if we chose to celebrate the diversity in the body of Christ while holding tightly to the oneness we share in Jesus?
As you go through your day, let this reality shape your words, your thoughts, and your actions. You are part of something so much bigger than yourself. You belong to God’s family, and that changes everything.
