Tuesday - It’s Not About Feeling, It’s About Filling. It’s Not About Feeling, It’s About Filling

John 14:15-17 – “If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”

Ephesians 5:18 – “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;”
The Ephesians needed this reminder because they had started confusing spiritual reality with emotional hype. Their old pagan lifestyle was built on feelings, thrills, and temporary highs. Paul steps in and says, “Don’t live for a feeling. Be filled with the Spirit.”

Spirit-filling is not about chasing a rush. It is about God actually living in you.

And your walk with God is not built on how you feel. It is built on what God said. Jesus did not promise random waves of emotion. He promised the Holy Spirit as your constant Comforter.
Some days you will feel close to God. Other days you will not feel much at all. But God’s presence does not rise and fall with your emotions. He is steady. He is faithful. He is there.
And the Spirit’s work goes far deeper than feelings.

He shapes your character.
He guides your decisions.
He empowers your obedience.
So do not chase moments. Chase Him.

Do not measure your spirituality by emotion. Measure it by faithfulness.
