Monday - Walking Carefully

Proverbs 4:26–27 – “Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.”
Every step you take today is shaping who you will become tomorrow. The writer of Proverbs tells us to ponder the path of our feet, to think carefully about where we are going and what is guiding our direction.
Wisdom is not something that just happens. It is not accidental or automatic. It is intentional. It is learning to walk carefully, watching every step just like you would if you were walking barefoot through a dark room full of Legos.
Spiritually speaking, there are obstacles all around us: temptations, distractions, and shortcuts that seem easier but lead the wrong way. That is why God calls us to walk circumspectly, to pay attention to where our feet are taking us.
Your choices today are all steps in your spiritual journey. The question is: are they steps toward Christ or away from Him?
Before you rush into the day, take a moment and ask God to help you walk carefully. Not carelessly. Not casually. But carefully, because where you step determines where you will end up.
