Tuesday - The Power of Participation

Nehemiah 2:18
“Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king’s words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work.”

I
 Corinthians 12:12
“For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.”

Nehemiah did not say, “Let me build.”

He said, “Let us rise up and build.”

God’s work has never been designed for one person alone. It requires people working together.

The Apostle Paul described the church as a body. Every part matters. Every member has a role. When one part serves, the whole body grows stronger.

The people in Jerusalem understood this. When they heard the vision, they responded together: “Let us rise up and build.”

Something powerful happens when God’s people move from observing to participating. The work becomes shared. The burden becomes lighter. The impact becomes greater.

God has placed you in your church family for a reason. Your presence matters. Your gifts matter. Your service matters.

God does His work through people who are willing to say, “I’m in.”
