Monday - Is it I?

Mark 14:19 – “And they began to be sorrowful, and to say unto him one by one, Is it I? and another said, Is it I?”
When Jesus announced that one of the twelve would betray Him, the disciples did not point fingers. They did not accuse one another. Each one looked inward and asked, “Is it I?”
That response is striking.
These were men who had walked with Jesus, heard His teaching, and seen His miracles. Yet instead of assuming they were above failure, they examined their own hearts.
That's where this passage meets us.
It is easy to hear a message like this and think about someone else. It is easy to think about Judas as a distant figure and miss the warning altogether. But the real application is personal.
Spiritual growth begins when we stop comparing and start examining.

- The question is not, “Who is the Judas?”
- The question is, “Lord, is it me?”
Spiritual growth begins when we stop comparing and start examining.
