Friday - Vision Requires Action

Nehemiah 2:18 – “Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king’s words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work.”
James 2:17 – “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.”
Nehemiah cast a compelling vision: "Let us rise up and build." The people responded with enthusiasm.
But chapter 3 reveals the crucial next step – they actually built. Vision without action is merely a dream. Faith without works is dead. The word "build" appears 42 times in this chapter because building was the heartbeat of the movement. God isn't looking for people who simply agree with good ideas or get excited about possibilities. He's looking for people who will roll up their sleeves and participate in the work. What has God shown you from His Word? What step of obedience do you know you need to take?Perhaps it's serving in your local church, giving financially toward kingdom purposes, or using your gifts to bless others.
Today is the day to move from intention to participation. Let us rise up and build – together.
