GO

Mark 16:15 - "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."
Have you ever stopped to think about the power behind one simple, two-letter word? That tiny word is "Go." It might be short, but it's loaded with meaning and purpose.
In Mark 16:15, Jesus gives a straightforward command: "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." Now, that might seem overwhelming at first, but let’s break it down.
Jesus didn't say "go" to burden us with another task. He commanded it because of what's at stake. You see, every single person desperately needs Jesus. He's not just an option—He's the only option. He's the only path to eternal life, lasting joy, and true peace.
The Bible tells us clearly in Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 6:23 goes further and tells us the penalty for sin is death—being eternally separated from God. But here's the good news: God offers a gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ! "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Yet, the gospel isn't something people automatically hear. Romans 10:14 asks a crucial question: "How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?" That's why Jesus says "go." We have the answer people desperately need! Imagine having a cure for a deadly disease—you'd want everyone to know, right? Well, we have something even greater—the cure for sin. It's the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
So, where exactly do we "go" with this message? It’s simpler than you might think. Your world starts right where you are. It includes your home, your workplace, your neighborhood—any place you regularly find yourself. That’s your mission field! You don't need to wait for some special opportunity. Your mission begins right now, right where you are.
But how exactly do we "go" with the Gospel? Does this mean preaching from behind a pulpit? Not necessarily. Preaching simply means proclaiming or declaring the good news about Jesus. You don’t need a seminary degree or a microphone to do this. Your everyday life—how you act, what you advocate, what you say, how you respond, how you treat others—is often the most powerful sermon someone will ever hear. Your life might be the only gospel message some people will ever experience. Make it count.
I love how the Gospel of Mark wraps up. Jesus gives this command, and guess what? The disciples didn't sit around wondering what to do next. Mark 16:20 says, "And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them." They didn't wait until they felt ready or until conditions were perfect. They just obeyed.
And the best part is—Jesus was with them every step of the way. He empowered them, strengthened them, and opened doors for them. The same is true for us today. When we step out and share the gospel, we don't do it alone. Jesus promises to work right alongside us, giving us everything we need.
So, let's not just admire what the disciples did—let’s follow their example. Today, accept the invitation to share the greatest message ever told. It's our turn now.
