Thursday - The Quiet Chapters

Nehemiah 2:11 – “So I came to Jerusalem, and was there three days.”
When we read the Bible, we often remember the dramatic moments.
But most of the Christian life is not lived in those moments.
Most of the Christian life is lived in the quiet chapters.
In Nehemiah 2, nothing dramatic happens. Nehemiah arrives in Jerusalem and simply waits three days. No speeches. No construction. No rallying of the people. Just quiet preparation.
Yet this moment is incredibly important.
Before the walls are rebuilt, Nehemiah must slow down. Before the public work begins, there is private preparation.
God often works this way in our lives too. There are seasons where it feels like nothing is happening. But those seasons are not wasted.
God prepares us in quiet places before He uses us in visible ones.
When we read the Bible, we often remember the dramatic moments.
- The Red Sea parting.
- The walls of Jericho falling.
- Revival .
But most of the Christian life is not lived in those moments.
