Thursday - Shielded by Faith

Ephesians 6:16 – “Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.”

Satan doesn’t fight fair. He fires flaming arrows hoping something sticks and starts a fire in your heart or mind.

And if you’ve ever thought things like:

  • “You’re not good enough…”
  • “God doesn’t really care…”
  • “You’re going to fail again…”
  • “You’ll never change…”

Those aren’t random thoughts. Those are attacks.

That’s why God gives us the shield of faith.

Faith doesn’t stop the enemy from shooting arrows. But it does stop those arrows from destroying you. Real faith means choosing to trust what God has said – even when your feelings disagree and even when the enemy whispers lies.

  • When doubt says, “God doesn’t care,” faith says, “God is faithful.”
  • When fear says, “You’re going to fail,” faith says, “God is in control.”
  • When shame says, “You’re disqualified,” faith says, “God’s Word is true—I’m forgiven.”

Every day, you’re going to choose:

  • Will I trust my emotions?
  • Or will I trust God’s promises?

Paul says, “Above all, take the shield of faith.” Because standing firm depends on it.

Raise your shield today – and don’t let lies take you down.
