Thursday - Stand Firm

Psalm 18:2 – “The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.”

Ephesians 6:13 – “Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”

"Stand firm." Paul uses this command twice in one verse because it captures the essence of spiritual victory. The goal isn't that you never face temptation or spiritual attack; the goal is that when it hits, you don't move. Standing firm means refusing to surrender territory to the enemy. You don't give him your joy, your peace, your marriage, your testimony, or your walk with God. This requires intentionality. You must plant your feet on the promises of God, root yourself in Scripture, and anchor your identity in Christ. When storms come, you won't be swept away because you're grounded in the unmovable Rock. Today, identify one area where the enemy is pressing hard. Plant your feet there. Declare God's truth. Hold your ground.
