Friday - A Legacy of Faith

II Timothy 2:15 – “I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also”
II Timothy 3:14-15 – “But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; and that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus”
Timothy’s faith didn’t come out of nowhere. It was shaped by a grandmother and a mother who loved the Lord and took His Word seriously (2 Timothy 1:5). Before Timothy ever preached or pastored, he was being taught the Scriptures at home (2 Timothy 3:15). Someone invested in him. Someone made faith a priority.
That’s how God usually works. Not through big, flashy moments, but through consistent, everyday faithfulness. Prayers at bedtime. Scripture around the table. Conversations in the car. Faith lived out in real life. That kind of influence sticks.
The truth is, your faith today is shaping someone’s tomorrow. Whether it’s your child, your grandchild, or someone watching your life – your example matters. And if you didn’t grow up with that, God may be using you to start something new. A new story. A new legacy.
