Tuesday - I am accepted

Romans 8:1-4 – “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Ephesians 1:6-7 – “To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;”
Our human nature often drives us to seek acceptance from others, leading to performance-based living. However, God's Word tells us we are already "accepted in the Beloved." This acceptance isn't based on our accomplishments or failures, but on Christ's finished work.

Consider areas in your life where you feel the need to prove yourself. How might embracing your acceptance in Christ free you from these pressures?

Today, practice living from a place of acceptance rather than striving for it. When you feel the urge to earn approval, remind yourself of your status in Christ.
