Monday - Dead Man Walking
Ephesians 2:1-3 - "And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others."
Romans 3:10-12 - "0 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one."

It isn’t very difficult to read these passages and think, “Man, I am the worst!” Reflecting on our lives and seeing all the times we failed in our Christian walk. Ephesians says that we weren’t just morally weak or ill, but that we were spiritually dead! This is humanity’s default condition without Christ. The world, our flesh, and the devil all work together to keep us in chains, living but condemned.
Today, how do you see the evidence of spiritual death in the world around you? We have seen it in our own life as well! However, if we can fully comprehend our sin nature before God, is it not that much more amazing that He saves us?
Today, understand your unworthiness and fully appreciate His grace to you.
