Wednesday - Alive in Christ

Ephesians 2:5-6 - " Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:"

God didn’t just clean us up, but He brought us back from the dead. To be 'quickened' is to be made alive again. This isn’t a self-help story; it’s resurrection! Paul wrote to the Corinthian church and said to be in Christ is to be made a ‘new creature!’ Upon salvation we repent from our sins and trespasses, and turn to God for new life, becoming a new creature! This means that we don’t live the way that we used to; we don’t think how we used to; and we don’t speak the way we used to! God has renewed us and made us ALIVE!

Today, how has your life changed since being made alive in Christ? Glory to God that you are no longer what you used to be! With that in mind, what part of your thinking or behavior needs to change to reflect your new life more fully?
