Friday - Alive on Purpose
Ephesians 2:8-9 - "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
John 5:24 - "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life."
“What is the meaning of life?” A popular question in the world today that has seen many answers! Helping people, feeding the poor, doing good deeds, and using your talent to better mankind have all been answers to this question. All these, of course, are good ideals to live by, but for the Christian, are these the answer?
We were saved by grace through faith—not works, not religion, not effort. Now that we've been made alive, we walk in newness of life. We understand that it is not these things that can save us, or take us to heaven, of course not! But if we live our new life on purpose, these things will surely come.
Are you walking in newness of life? The grace that we share should motivate our obedience more than guilt ever could. We are to live our lives on purpose!
Be devoted to Him and His Word. Be confident in your faith. And live your life on purpose!
