Friday - The Actions of the Believer

Matthew 9:38 - "Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest."

Matthew 10:7-9 - "And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. 9 Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,"

What a beautiful study we have had this week. Look back and remember the lessons from this rich passage. We have an unequal, all-encompassing, eternal need for a Savior. He had compassion on us and died for us, and so we should also have compassion for others. Because we realize the worlds need for a Savior, have compassion for the lost, we are to do our part in laboring in the harvest! Compassion without action is just emotion—we must act!

The actions of the believer are simple. First, we are to pray. Pray that the Lord send more laborers to the mission field, and bolden us to reach the people we can. Second, we are to preach the gospel to all the world! Telling others about Christ is our work! Finally, we are to give. We are to provide for preachers and missionaries so that the work of God continues.
