Thursday - Praying with Confidence

I John 5:14-15 - "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him."
Ephesians 3:20 – “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,"
Our Ephesians passage reminds us that God can do more than we ask or think. Today, we focus on approaching God in prayer with confidence, knowing He hears and answers us.
John assures us that when we ask anything according to God's will, He hears us. This doesn't mean God is a cosmic vending machine, giving us whatever we want. Rather, it encourages us to align our hearts with God's purposes, trusting that He knows what's best.
Consider your prayer life. Do you pray with confidence, or do you doubt God's willingness or ability to answer? Today, approach God boldly in prayer, but also with an open heart to His will. Remember, sometimes God's "no" or "wait" is the most loving answer He can give.
