Tuesday - Christ’s Victory as Our Foundation

Colossians 2:13-15 – “And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

Our spiritual gifts and our very existence as the church are rooted in Christ's victory. He descended to earth, died on the cross, and rose again triumphantly. Now, seated at the right hand of the Father, He shares the spoils of His victory with us.

This profound truth should shape our perspective on everything we do in the church. Our service isn't about our own abilities or efforts, but about participating in and proclaiming Christ's triumph over sin and death. When we use our gifts, we're not just performing tasks; we're declaring that the battle has been won.

How does this change your view of serving in the church? Let the reality of Christ's victory fuel your passion and commitment to using your gifts for His glory.
