Wednesday - Doing What’s Right, Right Away

Ruth 2:3 “And she went, and came, and gleaned in the field after the reapers: and her hap was to light on a part of the field belonging unto Boaz, who was of the kindred of Elimelech.”

James 1:22 “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”

Ruth didn’t delay after she made a decision. She said, “Let me now go to the field,” and she went. Her obedience was immediate and active. Too often we hesitate, waiting for full clarity or ideal conditions. But God honors those who step forward in faith when the next right step is clear. Ruth didn’t know where her obedience would lead her, yet her simple “doing” placed her directly in Boaz’s field.

When we discern our next right step, take it. You don’t wait for perfect circumstances just obey! Whether it’s forgiving someone, starting a new habit of prayer, or serving in a ministry, faith moves. When you act on what you know, God works in what you don’t.
