Monday - What Faith Really Is

Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
James 2:19 - “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.”
Faith is not mystical. It is not magic. And it is not just a feeling you wait on. Faith is trust that shows up in how you live. You use faith every day when you sit in a chair or start your car. Biblical faith works the same way, except the object is God.
Believing about God is not the same as trusting in God. Even devils believe, but real faith goes further. Real faith leans on God, depends on God, obeys God, and rests in God. So today, stop only believing in God and start trusting Him. Lean your whole life on Him, not just the easy parts.
