Wednesday - Keep Moving Forward
Acts 8:3-6 “As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison. Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word. Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.”
“Keep moving forward!” is what you may see on a motivational calendar or cat poster. It is an encouragement that whatever may be in your way, keep going. Don‘t quit! Press on!
It may seem cliche, or silly, or even dumb, but it is true!
The Christians of Jerusalem had every reason to quit. They were facing prison or even death! However, as they were scattered they preached the gospel. Philip did not stop preaching. He kept moving forward, and saw much fruit from it!
Today, whatever the obstacle, difficulty, or stuggle God wants to help…if you just keep moving forward. Don’t mistake a roadblock for a failure. Don’t let the discouragement weigh you down. Keep moving forward! God is by your side through it all!
