“Everyone plateaus. What you do next is what counts.” – Unknown.
Honestly, the word "plateau" scares me. It sounds innocent enough, but when you really think about it, it means you've hit a standstill after making progress. That's the last thing I want for my life, especially spiritually speaking. Unfortunately, it's something I've experienced before, and it's not a good feeling.
If you're feeling stuck in your spiritual journey, it can be tough to know where to turn. Thankfully, the Bible is the perfect source of guidance and comfort during these moments.
Take a look at these helpful verses to get some inspiration:
Isaiah 40:31 – "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
James 4:8 – “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.”
Matthew 7:7 – "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you…”
Philippians 3:13-14 – "Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before (ahead), I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."
Remember, it's totally normal to go through times when you feel like your spiritual growth has hit a wall. But don't worry! You can overcome this by reaching out to other Christians for support, spending time in prayer, meditating on God's Word, and seeking Him with all your heart. Keep at it, and you'll find yourself growing closer to Him in no time.
