Thursday - Remember the Lord

Nehemiah 4:14 – "…Be not ye afraid of them: remember the Lord, which is great and terrible…"

When everything fell apart — Nehemiah didn't come up with a new strategy. He didn't give a pep talk. He said two words: Remember the Lord.

Here's what happens at the halfway mark — we stop seeing God clearly. We stop thinking about what He's already done. And we start focusing on the rubbish instead of the God who called us to build.

Halfway points make us forgetful. We forget prayers He answered. We forget what He brought us through. And when we forget who God is — everything else starts feeling bigger than it really is.

Jonah said it from the belly of a whale — "When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD."

That's the answer at every halfway mark. Not a new plan. Not more effort. Just — remember the Lord.
