Thursday - Confidence in His Care

I Peter 5:7 – "Casting all your cares upon him for he careth for you."

Hebrews 11:1 – "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen"

Mark 4:39 – "And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm."

In Hebrews the author uses the term "hoped."
Today, we use this word to mean a wish or desire for something.
"I hope it is sunny tomorrow" is a wishful hope.

However, when the Bible uses hope it is defined as an expectation with confidence!

Peter writes and says that Jesus cares for him.
He had confidence that that was true.

Jesus calmed the storm.
The disciples could have confidence that Jesus cared for them.

Jesus died on the cross.
Through His death, we can have confidence that he cares for us.

Today, God's care is not a wish.
It is something that you and I can be confident in.

Whether we are struggling or not...be confident in the Saviors care.
