Monday - The Weight of Sin

Mark 15:25 – “And it was the third hour, and they crucified him.”
Romans 3:23 – “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
When Mark writes, “And they crucified Him,” he gives no details.
No description.
No explanation.
Just four words.
Why? Because everyone in that day already understood the weight of crucifixion.
And in the same way, we need to understand the weight of sin.
Sin is not small.
It is not harmless.
It is not something God overlooks.
The cross reminds us that our sin is serious enough that it required the death of the Son of God.
That means this is not just a “them” problem – it is a “me” problem.
We have all sinned.
We all fall short.
We all stand in need of a Savior.
Before the cross becomes beautiful, it must first become personal.
Reflection:
Do you take your sin seriously, or have you grown comfortable with it?
