Monday - An "Other Side" Mentality
Mark 4:35-36 - "And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side. And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship and there were also with him other little ships."
Jesus had just finished ministering to the multitude on the western side of the Sea of Galilee. He taught, preached, and ministered all day and was weary...but he wanted to go reach more.
You see, a lot of times we can get concerned about how tired we are. How worn out we have been. After all, life is tiresome! But it is important for you and I to take Jesus' example.
Though he was exhausted...he did not excuse his duty to minister to all.
Jesus' final command when he ascended into heaven was "Go ye, therefore, and teach all nations."
He did not say some of the world! He said ALL!
Today, are you more concerned with your comfort or do you have an "other side" mentality?
A mentality that wants to reach the world with the gospel.
As we continue this week, we will see that having an "other side" mentality isn't always smooth sailing...but it is what God desires for His people.
Today, be like Jesus and minister to all with an "other side" mentality.
