Thursday - The Fruit Is a Gift

"Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward." Psalm 127:3

God could not be more clear: children are a blessing. Not a burden. Not an interruption. A gift entrusted to you by the hands of God.

Now, it doesn't always feel that way. Sleepless nights don't feel like a reward. Teenage attitudes don't feel like a heritage. But feelings don't change what God declares to be true. And He says they are.

Here is what makes this so important: we live in a culture that quietly pressures families to see children as inconveniences, something to delay, minimize, or work around. But God says the exact opposite. He calls them a reward.

And it goes fast. You blink and they're crawling. Blink again and they're walking. Then talking. Then driving. Before you know it, the noise and chaos you once wanted a break from becomes the thing you would give anything to have back.

Don't miss it. Don't miss what matters most.

The best thing you can do for your children, whether you are a mother, a father, or a grandparent, is point them to Jesus. Let them hear you pray. Let them see you open your Bible. Show them what faith looks like in real life, on the ordinary days, not just the polished ones. Because more than anything the world can offer them, they need Him.
