Friday - A Life of Guarding

Nehemiah 13:29-3 –  Remember them, O my God, because they have defiled the priesthood, and the covenant of the priesthood, and of the Levites. 30 Thus cleansed I them from all strangers, and appointed the wards of the priests and the Levites, every one in his business; 31 And for the wood offering, at times appointed, and for the firstfruits. Remember me, O my God, for good.

Galatians 6:9 - "Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." 

Nehemiah's story doesn't end with a finished wall or a mountaintop celebration. It ends with a prayer, "Remember me, O my God, for good," after doing the hard, unglamorous work of guarding what God had already rebuilt.

That's the real ending of this series. Ruins became revival, but revival isn't a moment you frame and hang on the wall, it's something you keep tending. Faithfulness isn't one great decision. It's the daily choice to go back and guard it again.
