Friday - God Can Turn A Curse Into A Blessing

Ephesians 8:28 — “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

Deuteronomy 23:5 — "Nevertheless the LORD thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the LORD thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the LORD thy God loved thee."

When I was in college, I remember going into a job interview for a job that I just had to get. I needed the work, and it felt like my only opportunity. It was not a job I actually wanted, but I needed the money. I never got that job, and I was so worried. But the next week, I got a call back from a company that I really wanted to work for because it paid well, worked with my school schedule, and I could actually do homework while I worked!

It seemed like something bad had happened, but I was blessed anyway! That is a simple illustration of something I thought was terrible working out for the better. I believe this happens often in our lives, but especially in the life of Pastor Glen. He was given such a difficult lot in life, but God has worked it together for good.

What the devil meant for evil, God is able to work for good. He can turn a curse into a blessing!

Today, are you dwelling on the “curses” in your life, or are you looking at the blessings? It is easy to focus on what we have lost, what we cannot do, or what we wish were different. But God has given us the ultimate blessing by sending His Son for us.

God can use anyone for His purpose. God can take what seems like a curse and turn it into a blessing.  Will you dwell on the curse, or will you trust God for the blessing?
