Story of David - Day 23

We’ve been looking at the friendship of Johnathan and David, and this made me think of the other verses in the Bible that deal with Friendship.

Below are seven ways to be a good friend from a biblical perspective:

• Godly friends sharpen each other.
-- Proverbs 27:17
• Godly friends assure each other through adversity.  -- Proverbs 17:17
• Godly friends participate with each other. -- Proverbs 18:24
• Godly friends rejoice for one another. -- Romans 12:15-16
• Godly friends forgive one another. -- Ephesians 4:32
• Godly friends do not harbor anger. -- Proverbs 22:24
• Godly friends tell you the truth. -- Proverbs 27:6

Let's apply these principles of friendship from the Bible into action. Take some time to think about your friendships. Consider how you can be a better friend by using these seven principles. You can start today by reaching out to a friend, supporting, and forgiving them when needed, and sharing the truth with them in a loving way. By doing this, you can strengthen your relationships and show God's love through your friendships.
