Story of David - Day 10

I Samuel 17:32-33 – "And David said to Saul, Let no man's heart fail because of him; thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine. And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth."

In the face of Goliath's imposing presence, David's unwavering resolve stands out. His willingness to confront the giant, despite Saul's doubts about his age and abilities, is a testament to his faith.

This reminds me of the Bible verse in 1 Timothy: 

• I Timothy 4:12 - “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”  

David's story teaches that age should not hinder courage and faith. No matter how young (or old) we are, God's strength empowers us to face challenges confidently. When others underestimate us, remember that God equips and strengthens us, enabling us to conquer our giants and serve as examples to others.
