Thursday - Lead the Way

Nehemiah 5:10 – “I likewise, and my brethren, and my servants, might exact of them money and corn: I pray you, let us leave off this usury.”

Notice the two small words: "let us."
-              Not "you stop"
-              “Let us stop."

Nehemiah put himself in it first.
-              He didn't say, "Go."

-              He said, "Follow me."

That's the difference between pointing a finger and offering a hand. It's easy to call out what's wrong in someone else. It's harder to start the change in yourself. But that's the kind of leadership that actually moves people — the kind that goes first.

You don't have to wait for everyone else to get it right. You can be the one who leads the way.
